Why are some subselves different gender?

I can only guess that it's a combination of genes + childhood parental imprinting (eg an effeminate father and/or masculine mother or other caegiver/s) + childhood experiences. Whatever the reason, I have met scores of people with mixed-gender subselves - by their own report. I've also met people who's subselves have "no"
